AVID’s purpose is to provide academic mentoring to students who are underrepresented in the college community. The presenter will demonstrate AVID classroom strategies for preparing ELLs for college/university. The presentation will focus on strategies for SAT and ACT on-demand writing tasks. Example prompts and strategies will be modeled.
